I have learned that colour is the way forward, and unexpected colour at that. It would be so much easier and quicker if I stick to monochrome, but it's about proving myself and my art, and continuing with my ;niche'. To do this I have to choose and transform different subjects and not stick to one theme. It's about continuing to challenge myself and to try and stand out. Beautiful colours are key as they have to work with the dark background and give that extra dimension and 'pop' Technical and accurate draughtsmanship is, and always will be, important along with detail which I craft with fine lines and a lot of patience!
